Bastion Development Group has expanded its development pipeline to more than $500 million as it continues to stamp its mark on the Gold Coast luxury apartment market.

With Bastion’s debut project, the $184 million Nera (pictured) currently under construction at Chevron Island and more than 70 per cent sold, the company is now shifting gears with plans for a $180 million project in Surfers Paradise and another in Palm Beach.

Nera is well advanced in sales, which include a record Chevron Island penthouse sale of $11.5 million to a European buyer. Poised to be a 30-level residential tower, Nera showcases 87 spacious apartments, with four sky homes, one sub-penthouse and a premium penthouse. Nera has attracted a predominantly local buyer profile, with 80 per cent of purchasers coming from the Gold Coast, 15 per cent from interstate and 5per cent from overseas.

The majority of buyers are professional couples, while downsizers account for around 25 per cent of purchasers, highlighting the project’s appeal to those seeking to transition from larger family homes into luxury apartment living.

Remaining apartments are priced from $ 1,417,700. All developments will be delivered by Bastion Built, the group’s in-house construction division, providing buyers with greater certainty around project delivery“We’re all systems go,” Bastion CEO Alex Wood said.

The Residences are due to launch within the next couple of months. Meanwhile, Bastion’s next major project, the $180 million Surfer, will rise 30 levels, with the launch slated for September and construction due to start at the end of 2026. Surfer will deliver 25 apartments dedicated to residential living and 75 reserved for short-term letting, with the Development Application currently under consideration by the Gold Coast City Council.
