Construction at Bastion Development Group's $184million Nera has reached an exciting new milestone, with the landmark Chevron Island development officially rising above ground.

With excavation and foundation works now complete, the project has entered the structural phase of construction, signalling the beginning of Nera's journey to becoming one of Chevron Island's most distinctive addresses.

Built by Bastion's in-house construction team, Bastion Built, the 30-level development remains ahead of schedule and on track for completion in 2028.

Construction Manager Shaun Power said the team was making exceptional progress on site.

"Construction is progressing exceptionally well," Mr Power said.

"The jump form is currently being installed, all of the project signage is now in place, and we're framing the Level 2transfer deck, marking the beginning of Nera's vertical build."

“Momentum remains strong across the whole site, with our team working collaboratively and maintaining a positive culture with a strong focuson safety”.

The installation of the jump form marks a significant milestone, allowing construction of the building's central lift and stair core to begin.

Work is also progressing on the Level 2 transfer deck, which is scheduled for completion by 29 August 2026. Once the Level 2slab has been poured, construction will transition into the residential floors, where each level will be completed on an efficient eight-day cycle.

As construction accelerates, Nera's striking vision is beginning to take shape, with the tower climbing skyward.

Located at 8–10 Parneno Street, Chevron Island, the luxury development will comprise 87 residences, including four Sky Homes, a Sub-Penthouseand a premium Penthouse. Designed to embrace the Gold Coast lifestyle, Nerawill offer expansive ocean views alongside an elevated rooftop wellness experience featuring a pool, an EMF fitness gym, a sauna, and a plunge pool. Residents will also have access to a private dining room and Zen Garden,

"We're especially excited to bring the rooftop wellness space to life," Mr Power said.

"It will be unlike anything else on the Gold Coast and will become one of Nera's defining features."

Buyer demand has remained strong throughout construction, with the project now more than 70 per cent sold. The penthouse also set a new sales benchmark for Chevron Island after achieving $11.5 million in a sale to a European purchaser.

With construction now moving vertically, future residents can expect to see rapid progress over the coming months, as a new level begins to emerge approximately every eight days, and Nera continues its transformation into one of Chevron Island's most anticipated residential landmarks.
